Re: Artificial life likely in 3 to 10 years
PLEASE don't believe this hogwash! All they are doing is trying to play God, because there is no way man can create life from nothing. I don't know what they are going to "create", but it won't be life. In actuality what they are really creating is an excuse for the assinine funding that they get to keep their jobs. And it is going to be 3 to 10 years from now! What a joke. None of those geniuses knows where they are going to be tonight, let alone 3 years from now. Do you think anybody that was crossing that bridge in Minnesota thought that was their last day on earth? Or how about all these people dying in the floods and earthquakes we've been having? If you want to make God laugh, tell Him what you are going to be doing tomorrow! Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, all we have is the "present". It is a "gift" from God.
God gives us the breath for one day at a time. We should be praising and thanking Him every day for Him to love us enough to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to shed His blood and die for sinners who will receive Him as their Saviour and make the way to reconcile us back to Him. I sure am not putting my faith in any man to save me with technology, because we all are going to die of something. But where we spend eternity depends on our relationship with Jesus Christ. John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh before the Father but by Me."
Artificial Life and Claim:
The claim that "scientists are trying to create life from scratch" is belied by their own admission that they hope to use "fatty acids" to form the cell membrane.
Oops, that's not from scratch.
When the scientist told God he would create life on his own, and then scooped up a handful of dirt to begin, God interrupted and said, "No, no, no, you go get your own dirt!"
