How did you absorb the aluminum? Was it aluminum parts of the lamps that you touched and absorbed into your skin, or did you breathe in aluminum dust?

I found some old mercury toys in the basement a while back - like the tilting toys with the steel balls and holes, except these had mercury instead of the balls. Geeez. Better in a toy than in a filling I guess...

What do you recommend staying away from healthwise when doing second hand buying? Aluminum pots and pans? Did you ever save up metals to sell as scrap metal?
