I have been sleeping on a camping style bed also, after selling my $1500 bed to someone who didn't mind buying my (barley used) mattress. Sure the bed was comfortable but I just spent more time sleeping which is kinda wasting life away...

So now I use a comforter on a camping bed or the floor, and when I wake up I'm up and don't feel like sleeping in all day. Less is more I think...
