Re: meat and fertility/ menstruation

I am a 38yo female who eats a raw diet including raw egg yolks and fish. I do eat rare or raw steak on occasion. (Steak tartar) I've been eating this way for four years now and I have very, very light periods that last 1-3 days. According to reasearch that I have found, we need some animal fat in our diets mainly for the clean cholesterol not the hormones. Our bodies make cholesterol on it's own, but sometimes it needs more. Cholesterol is what we make our sex hormones out of. Most people who are vegetarian or vegan that base the reason for them being so on that animal based foods are bad for you. Then there are some who are there for ethical reasons, a whole other deal that I am not equiped to discuss! :) Back to the point, animal foods are bad for you if they have been heated in any way. A lot of studies don't even take that into consideration when they are doing research. For what reason I have no idea. Maybe humans as a whole have been cooking thier food so long that the thought doesn't occour to them that heat damages the food. Another factor to diet is eating food that is meant for us to eat. You said you started getting sick when you were eating a lot of baked goods and pasturized animal products. Baked products usually consist of grains and grains are not human food. They are bad for a lot of reasons. PCOS is usually caused or related to insulin sensitivity which can be caused by incorrect diet making blood Sugar levels unstable. The way to correct this is eating sufficent fats along with carbohydrates. I'm going to post a link to a great deal of info that has helped me immensely on my road to health. I'm not perfect, but the more I adhere to the diet I am telling you about, the more my body heals and the younger looking I become. I got ID'ed the other day for 22! :) On this diet I have overcame: roseaca, anxiety attacks, better body composistion, clearer skin and more energy. Like I said, I have had my days where I ate whatever I wanted, and I paid for it! I call it my cooked food hangover! The anxiety releif was immediate, as was better skin. But, my rosacea took longer which it is an imflammitory condition. As my body healed, the rosacea slowly went away. I hope this information helps you as much as it has helped me!
