Re: Un Regarding Spirituality and meat eating

What bothers me most is HUMAN BEINGS screaming in pain and fear. Its such a terrible thing, and saddens me that so many people show more concern about animal misery than they do about human misery. In fact, the indifference of people to the sufferings and misery of HUMANS (and their "politically correct"? overriding sorrow for animals) has been responsible for humanity's lack of compassion all over the world since the beginning of time and has resulted in war, genocide, torture, starvation, malnutrition, poverty, hatred/resentment, "sneaky" and "naughty" schemes of manipulation against each other, etc.

Evil is caused by humanity's disrespect of itself, not by a seperate entity (devil).

It's time to take a look at the BIG picture and stop picking out all the petty little things that are "UNKEMPT" about the world (address reality and stop insulting humanity). It will shock you to realize that your whole existence is the direct result of the flesh and blood of animals. You wouldn't even have been born if your ancestors or their ancestors did not eat meat. Most of the world all throughout history lived because they ate meat. Virtually ALL of the products (whether manufactured, grown, produced, processed, or services provided) are a result of people eating meat. It has always been that way and always will (it must be quite an uncomfortable feeling to realize that your heritage includes such a thing, welcome to reality).

The meat industry is not the natural order of things or the "food chain" (oh, but war and all manner of evil and human misery and suffering is?).

It might appear to a visitor from another world that our ever popular politically correct sympathy for animals has replaced our empathy/compassion for each other (would they be wrong?) and this is why we have so much trouble understanding GOD (and have made the obsession about the INTERPRETATION of verses a pastime/diversion from the truth).

When people/society break the habit of blaming OTHER entities (meat industry, devil, other people) for evil and misfortune, it becomes possible to understand the real meaning of what God is saying to humanity.

The concern about the suffering of animals is valid and justified (and ultimately is each person's own business, live and let live), but when equated with Godliness (rivers of living water, Sermon on the Mount), it begins to sound like "Later for humanity, I'm going to care more about animal misery, pain and suffering than that of human beings".
