If god didn't want us to eat meat ...

then he wouldn't have made them so delicious.

For example one could argue that god wants us to eat delicious NZ lamb but not the Pitohui bird of Papa New Ginea, one is delicious with rosemary and thyme, the other.... well the name says it all.   The facts are there for all to see.  All bad tasting animals were made that way because God favored them and the same for poisonous animals they should not be eaten, all others are fair game.

I think eating cadaver is the best way to go, it would be inhumane to eat something while it was still alive.
