Ask your moderators for their opinions on issues where you need help...any issues of policy and development you wish.

You wouldn't even have to follow any of your moderator's opinions. It is enough that you asked them.

When you ask for your moderators' opinions, you'll know by the number of replies you get, the strength of their convictions, or if they are hesitant to answer. That will tell you much.

The task of moderator is too big right now. Few people have the time and inclination to do all that reading.

Lighten their load. Take all that responsibility off their shoulders. Give all readers the opportunity to vote FOR the best...the most useful...the clearest and most appreciated.

Reserve your generous moderators, all of them, for 'executive' consultation purposes only. They will make you a wonderful team...and lighten YOUR load.
