Re: That's in interesting question.
there are statements to be found that said people tested negative after a couple of years of BHT...so I am assuming that it is possible to get rid of the virus, even if on a hypothetical level (I never get the attitude of people saying, "It has NO CURE, so STOP LOOKING!!!" Gimme a break.)
So-- you're left with either testing negative, or testing positive for the antibodies (and I have no idea if there's a way to distinguish between antibodies and an active virus.)
certain HPV strains show up and then go away....and you can only confirm that with a cervix test...so if that virus is able to show up on a test and then go away-- I don't find it unlikely that other viruses have multiple strains with varying degrees of strength and resistance to treatment.
Here is an excerpt from a thread below this one:
"I'd strongly suggest that you consider the Western Blot test for herpes. It looks for a broader range of herpes specific antibodies. It's available, although a lot of doctors are not aware of it. The university of Washington has been offering it for over 10 years that I'm aware of. It's considered the gold standard of blood tests. There is some good testing information links at

Particularly look at the University of Washington link.
Another good source of general information about herpes is at the Westover Heights Clinic at

I think there's a lot of thing conventional medicine (and conventional minds) say CAN'T be cured, and we know there are always the exceptions to this rule. Personally, I'd rather put the work into being the exception than being a lazy sod with a sheep-like mentality in believing any absolute, let alone "there is NO CURE."
