Thanks for a nice post.

What I say is that *Currently*, there is no cure, but I'm not one to say don't even look for one. I do say, too, is that you'll not very likely find a cure with, dare I use the phrase, "conventional" alternative treatments.

Let's make sure that we understand the actual mechanism through which the virus operates/exists. The virus is actually a snippet of DNA that incorporates into the DNA of the infected cells. To date, we have no method of extracting that snippet of DNA from a cell without killing the cell. Certainly drinking tea made from the leaves or roots of some plant is not going to accomplish that feat of genetic engineering.

A lot of folks seem to think that the herpes simplex virus is a separate entity like a bacteria which can be attacked by various means. As I just explained, it doesn't work that way. Ozone? Not gonna do it. Rife frequencies played through your computer speakers? Not gonna do it. Lectroject or Imulux machines? Don't make me laugh. It just doesn't work like that.

Now, do I think there is relief on the way? Absolutely, but it's not about magically eliminating the virus from our cells, it's about fine-tuning our immune systems to keep it under control. We also have some very effective antiviral meds that can interfere with the replication of most of the strains of the herpes virus. It's a HUGE step in the right direction. Advances in the past 20 or even 10 years have given Science a much more detailed understanding of how the virus actually works and that's a very, very significant advance toward controlling the virus.

Now, to address the statements about people testing negative after a few years of using BHT.. First, those are anecdotal statements of somebody posting on the Internet and not something published in a respected peer-reviewed medical journal. Second, false negatives are hardly unknown.

Do you believe everything you read on the Internet? I don't without doing my due diligence. I ran into an instance of people posting glowing testimonials about Imulux to a herpes discussion forum. The Webmaster for the forum discovered that all the glowing testimonials under various names came from the same IP address as the Optometrist "Doctor" who owns the company. Ooops!! For more info about this particular case, see
http://imulux.googlepages.com

OK, about HPV and it clearing from the system. Absolutely. It's an entirely different virus even though it's acronym differs by only one letter. It's not a virus that hides from the immune system in nerve cells.

Thanks for quoting my excerpt from that other post. Those links are good resources. :-)

So to recap.. My statement is that there is currently no cure. I further think that it's likely to be a long time before we find some nano-engineering/genetic-engineering way to surgically remove the HSV DNA segment. I'll never say never in that regard.

Again, thanks for a nice polite reply. I don't always get that.
