From my experience now that I upped the daily dosage from C think that Iodine maybe is less effective.
The key is take Iodine maybe in empty stomach and let it as long as you can to oxidise the undesired thinks in your body. Then vitC will give your body a break.
I think that maybe with use of kefir or some other probiotic food, Iodine supplementation will have the best results.
