Re: Some people's acne may never go away...

You didn't mention what you are putting on your skin. I had problems starting at your age and even did accutane (which now I feel was a mistake). That helped for a couple of years but really, I just had to figure out what caused my problems. Now, I use an all natural soap....I cannot use a thing with mineral oil or anything labeled with "fragrance" (I use essential oils for fragrance instead)or other synthetics. I cannot eat milk products high in fat such as cheese, butter, whole milk and ice cream. In place of these I use low fat cheese, olive oil and frozen yogurt. Have you ever heard of "The Maker's Diet?" That may do you good also. There is a support forum here for that also. I stay away from products that were not meant to be food for us in the first place and use as natural as possible for my skin....all natural soap with no synthetic fragrance, preservatives , etc. and no moisturizers with mineral oil, etc. I use Shea Butter for moisturizing. Don’t use the so called “Shea Butter” sold in the stores as a large part of it is mineral oil and a lot of synthetics. I have found that what is advertised as healthy by industry, whether it is food or skin care is mostly hype. What works for me may not work for you so you may want to keep a note book of what you eat and what you use on your skin and take note when it improves or gets worse. I slipped last week and thought I could get by with having one tablespoon of some really good looking ice cream....big mistake!
