I realize that you and Apxr are having this discussion and I'd like to put in my 2 cents of what I'm observing.

First of all, I don't believe that Apxr's intentions were purposeful as a "soft sell" as you had mentioned regarding his device. I suppose someone with their "handle" of their forum name/device could be looked at as a "soft sell" too. Could it not? I believe to mention the Microbe Detective Forum was for FUTURE inquires/or questions in case there were any because he'll be over there often and it is research, after all.

Secondly, his "device" that he mentioned is his research that has NOTHING to do with the other services on the forum. As far as I know the "device" ISN'T marketable, made, etc, so the point of putting the post in the Market Forum seemed rather moot! For this reason, he has extensive ongoing research, and I believe your post was rather confusing on it's intent (at least to me)! It seems as though he was confused by your post too or intentions because why else would this conversation continue. :) Again, his personal research has nothing to do with the forum or the website.

Thirdly, I think that it is unfortunate that his continued research post was hijacked by this. Perhaps a new post could have been made in reference to it, but whatever...

Fourth, you made some good points and so has he. I think this issue needs to be dropped.

I'd like to say thank you for bringing this to our attention as a NEW forum owner -- we all live and learn, don't we? I don't believe much more can be said. There is plenty of explanation of our intentions on our forum. You've made your point, I suppose, which your purpose.
