First of all I fail to see how I'm 'giving information to "my site"'. I don't have a site, if any. I use one in geocities and some others as temporary tools, nothing more. I do mention an url to a Curezone Forum recently created by DD, the "M.D. Forum" as I call it, in which I'm involved as an assistant and of course as a reader and poster, just as I do here, but nor the site or the forum are "mine". The site belongs to CureZone, I think, and the Forum to DD, as far as I know"



sorry...I was saying promotion in refering to one's own site....and technically, you are correct, these are not your owned sites....I should have been more clear.

however, it's not really relevant to the point.

the point is promotion for profit (not saying this is intentional, only that which has occured)...I'll try to clearify...

The rules are, if you are in any way associated with a business (product or service) you are not allowed to mention it in your personal story in Support Forums . This means associated in any way, ie you don't have to own the site proper, or the forum...the point is association in ANY WAY to that business....this is promotion of products/services, and not allowed. It's a conflict of interest. The microbe detective forum is classified as promotional, and within the forum, it's described as promotional for the web site, which offers services for profit. You are associated with both these places.

I'm not saying it's bad!

And I'm not saying your contributions here or any of these other places are bad. I'm only saying promotion is conflict of interest on Support Forums and not allowed.

hope this explains better....it is not directed at you personally, or rabbitears, I hope this is clear as well, it's about post content.
