Re:Testimonial Update
boatqueen - Aches and Pains, intersticial cystitis gone! Chronic depression lifted, hair stopped falling out.
ML, this is my testimonial that you posted. Thought you might be interested in an update.
I started the drink in December of 2006, and have continued it since then, so that means I've been on the protocol for about 7 months.
Everything positive that I wrote about, has continued, and more. I've also had some challenges.
I've had some heavy family issues to deal with in the last few months, yet I haven't sunk into depression like in the past, although my weight has creeped up. I can't blame anyone but myself for that, and hope to lose the extra 15 lbs. over the next year. Any advice (besides the traditional eat less/exercise more) would be appreciated.
Being as it is summer, I haven't had as much opportunity to do the detox soaks as I did during the winter, but I know that they help me tremendously when I do.
I have not noticed any improvement with my teeth and gums, although I also take Min-Col as advised. I also oil-pull every morning. My dental issues have been 47 years in the making, so I don't think that 7 months is a long enough time to see major improvement. I don't believe that receding gums can grow back, so I guess that isn't any big surprise. Maybe my routine has kept them from receding worse. Nonetheless, I will continue with what I am doing.
It has been a complete joy not to have to deal with anymore blood sugar issues. My father (76) is diabetic, and I see the struggles that he deals with. Unfortunately, we are not close, so he would not know about my protocol. I know it would help him tremendously. My mother (80) has Crohn's disease, and I know it would help her too. She has witnessed me fixing and drinking *the drink*, but she has no interest in trying it either. I wish she would be more open to trying it, but truthfully, it's just too bizarre and vile to her, as it is with virtually anyone else who sees me drink it. Too bad.
My family are avid boaters (hence *Boatqueen*) and we are out on our boat every weekend. We use ice chests for drinks and perishables, and I have been making the drinks ahead of time, and freezing them. As they thaw, I add my lemon juice/ACV, shake well, and then drink. Do you see any issues in the freezing ML? The boat has limited space, and this is the easiest way I have found to continue the protocol away from home.
I have slowly increased some of the ingredients in my drink. At present, I ingest about 4 TB of kelp daily, and about 4 cups of double-strength lime water. Looking back over my life, I think I was extremely acidic for a long time, (excess soda/coffee/alcohol) and I am afraid that I probably have considerable bone loss. I'm hoping to build that back up, or at least keep me from losing more with the increased calcium hydroxide.
I also add fruit pectin to the drink for my back/disc problems. I have hurt my back twice in the 7 months, but each time it was a quick recovery with relatively little down time as compared to the past.
Overall, I have benefited from some very positive health changes, and I am so pleased. Thanks again ML!!!
