Re: electrolysis
It took about a year, at first going every two weeks for 45 minute sessions. Then, with each session, the amount of time it took for treatments dwindled. Towards the end of the year, I only had to go about once a month for 15 minute sessions. Almost all of my hair is gone now except for a few strands on my neck, a few on my chin line, and a few on my lip. I stopped the treatments after a year, though, mainly because I had to do a lot of traveling. Recently, I decided to get back to it and started going back. My first session back was two weeks ago, and it only took about 8 minutes.
I didn't get any scarring from electrolysis, and my skin care practioner told me that she actually prefers it over laser treatments. She does both. I get the electolysis treatments when I go for dermabrasion treatments.
The way I found a skin care practioner who performed electrolysis was to look for a highly thought of day spa in my community that provided multiple services, such as dermabrasion, facials, electolysis, laser treatments, and therapeutic massages. I Then I found out who the best specialists were at that spa. My skin care practioner was on a mission with me. In addition to removing the unwanted hair, she also used electolysis to remove numerous spider veins on my face. I was amazed at how well it worked for that as well.
