Re: Selling DCA is Just Wrong!
As I've said before, I agree that many health issues including cancer are probably related to toxins/nutritional deficiencies, etc. (and of course immune dysfunction is a part of it, tumors represent unregulated growth). However, not all cancers. If we're actually arguing semantics here then that's fine. If you're trying to say some cancers are caused by a faulty tumor suppressor gene, then ok, technically all cancers have an origin of course. But, getting cancer doesn't necessarily mean that you didn't eat enough vitamin x or haven't done enough liver flushes. Cancer can be due to localized dysfunction, and not necessarily systemic disease. Words like "always, never, all, none" shouldn't be tossed around recklessly.
Also, my point about the alternative cures is this: can you amass a list of every posting of a therapy/supplement/technique advertised on this messageboard as being the next big thing and say that each and every one of them was legitimate? There are many problems with "main-stream medicine" but CAM is not completely infallible. It has its share of scammers and sleazeballs as well.
