This is not new news and not profound, but I think that a lot of people think this way. They don’t realize that if it works and cures, then we won’t comeback for more.



My grandmother was an amazing woman. She commanded my respect; I gave it willingly, because she was amazing. She was Mrs. Dallas back in her prime. Also, she ran for Mayor. Her tips on health and beauty were working for her so when she talked, I listened.


My mother was the problem. My grandmother taught my mother all sorts of great health and beauty remedies, but when my mother had me, she NEVER spoke of them.

I begged to spend my summers with my grandmother and this is what I learned…

Iodine mixed with oil
Vinegar and honey,
Gargle with salt,
Hydrogen peroxide to make your fingernails white shrink pores.
Ice for glowing complexion
Baking soda was used for health
Raw egg malts
Gardens - every year
Orange, lemons, persimmon trees and, grapes and strawberries.
Also, she had four Black-Walnut trees on her ranch. That is where I get my Black-Walnut s from when I make my tinctures.
Iodine mixed with oil
Spices were a big part of her daily life

Can’t think of them all
Hm, now I miss her
