Re: intellectual inheritance
I remember ridiculing my grandmother when she was buying "natural crap", and saying..."if that stuff worked, don't you think the medical industry would have caught on by NOW? They would be healing people left & right and making all KINDS of money with that junk!". (Note: I NEVER ridiculed my grandmother for buying quality vitamins & supplements, which she gave us regularly - I was thankful for those. She used to spend thousands of dollars a year on every new 'fad product' on TV or anything advertised by ANYone that claimed it was "natural"
Little did I know, "they" can't make money off things that can't be trademarked, and the 'junk' tyat DOES work, they don't want us to know about, or they'd NEVER make any money.
She had a chiropractor for decades that sold all kinds of supplements and homeopathic cures. I'd give ANYTHING if I would have listened to her and had a "treatment" everytime I visited. Now, all their knowledge is lost to me (and everybody I'll ever meet). :(
'Tis a true shame that we American's think so poorly of our elders when we are young. We lose SO much because of it.
