The ice is used to shrink pores on the face. I rub it all over my face -after I have been soaking in a hot tub for while. After you get out of the tub, take advantage of softened up skin and the opened pores. Then, when your face is cleaned, go get your ice and rub it all over. I use the blue frozen jell contraptions for this now, but ice is free and it works very well.
