Re: intellectual inheritance

It is so sad. Everything from the art of breastfeeding to simple home remedies for almost everything have been replaced with expensive harmful consumer products. I'm definately guilty of disregarding my elders and their folkelore including home remedies. It wasn't until I or a family member was burned by allopathic medicine that I opened my eyes to alternatives, many of which have been looking us in the face for generations. I hope to break this cycle by communicating with my children and making sure they understand the importance of knowledge no matter the source. Youth is definately wasted on the young in my case anyways. My teens all try my alternative therapies with a open mind and often embrace new protocols such as iodine, and oil pulling. They tell their friends and the response is as often curiousity as it is scorn so there is hope that things can be different. I'm hopeful because to be otherwise is not an option.

Cheers,

Sojo
