Ten years on a drug is a long time so I would suggest that you withdraw from it with guidance from your physician. However, a natural alternative would include: maintaining a daily health routine and journal; include physical exercises that balance our whole being such as yoga, tai chi, Kum Nye, "Psychocalisthenics", walking, biking, etc.; body work--regular massage & touch program such as our "15-Minute StressOut Program; mind & spiritual work such as meditation practice; lots of relaxation that includes visualization; and, nutrition.

Many talk therapies seem to be mostly ego building, but if you find an integrative health practitioner, perhaps they can help you focus on the root cause of your Depression that generally includes our early relationship with family, teachers and significant others. Also, much Depression seems to have its roots in early chidhood development and religious orientation that makes us fear God, Sex, Death and Sin.

Everyone has some form of Depression or lack of expression. One resource that I use is a great book called "Openness Mind," by Tarthang Tulku. Actually, all of his books help us find balance in our lives so that we don't have too many highs and lows, but rather learn to be mindful of every action, non-action, movement, observation, and awareness of our entire experience of living each moment.
