Costochondritis help

I have costochondritis. I am a 15 year old male. Last june I had been feeling very short of breath and had a lot of chest pain. I didnt really know what was going on and it calmed down after a little while and wasnt that big of a deal. I went through the summer dealing with it until one night it was excrutiating. I told my mom and I went to the doctors. This was all in September and late August. I went through test after test, and in the end they narrowed it down to costochondritis in November, after the docter was able to hear this crackling noise in my chest.
They said it will take 6-8 months to heal. Its been about a year and the pain hasnt seemed to get any less worse. I just cant take it and just want to breathe normal again. Some days its bad, some its fine. Its just driving me crazy though. Is there any operation that can fix this? And is it supposed to take this long? Tweet
