irregular pulsing high left rib area - what is this?

I don't know where to post this query so this forum seemed the most appropriate!

I have never experienced this before, and i have just returned home from work...pottering around, and i am feeling a pulsing sensation on the left side of my body, about 4 inches below my armpit, to the left of my breast, inbetween the ribs. It is an irregular pulse, and i can feel it if i place my hand there. Under the hand it feels about 1.5cm diameter pulse. Occuring about once a second in groups of ten. Then a few moments pass and again it starts. It is really weird!

Can anyone shed any light what this may be caused by?! I don't suffer with any extreme health complaints, eat a 80% raw diet,wholefoods, organic, sans animal products, feel full of energy and vigour, with a zest for life and loving every minute!

The only thing i am wondering is....is this pulse some monsterous parasite tickling me?!! (oooooooeeee i hope not) :-)

If anyone has experienced similar or knows about this symptom i really would love to hear about it ,
