I also cannot believe that anyone would buy cheap, supermarket, pasteurized honey. It is a waist of the bee's work! And that honey is made by those dying slave bees fed sugar. Just like cheap clothes made in china by undernourished kids. Just so someone can save money! In the long run we are hurting ourselves though, what goes around comes around.
It's like turning a perfectly good food into poison. Same with milk. They pasteurize it and ruin it's enzymatic value. I don't understand it!
The only reason, to me, is, that the quality is so poor and it otherwise isn't edible. But who would support such a vicious cycle? We consumers are who determine what is produced. So everything we buy is a vote and it matters.
