Re: Sinus Flooding with Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking Soda and Kosher Salt has healed my problems with chronic, annual sinus infection misery.
Thanks for your help, cando. I did run across your home page within the past few days. Thanks for taking the time to help others like that.
I'll probably stick to about the same frequency you did for the
H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) and use salt/baking soda/GSE the rest of the time.
I did do a food elimination diet, including no dairy or wheat for 6 weeks but I didn't really notice any difference in my sinuses or my health in general during or after the diet. I don't notice reaction to any other stimuli, really. I know I'm allergic to mold and I believe I have a fungal infection (chronic I suspect). I plan to irrigate right now more frequently and then back off some once it's clear. My eustachion tubes are totally blocked right now and have been for all of 2007 except for a 3 week period. I had a year long period of low immunity and I thing this took hold over that time, especially when I was on 5 weeks of doxycycline. I also did 10 days of augmentin after seeing an ENT doc, but that did nothing, which just reinforces my notion that this is fungal. Plus, fungus seems to like me. I've had little white critters living on my tongue for over a year now ;-)
My eustachion tubes suddenly cleared a few weeks ago, during a very dry period around here (2 or 3 weeks without rain and very low humidity days) and then as soon as the rain and humidity came back my infection was back in business. I suspect that this isn't a coincidence.
Thanks again for your help.
