Sounds like you could be hosting a bad colony of critters, and they are getting all the nutrition you consume, leaving you hungry and tired. If it were me, I'd stay on the Paragone for a while, and slowly increase the amount. I often have to take more than is recommended to get results.
This would also be a good time for you to consume things that provide nutrtion for you, but that parasites hate, like pineapple, pumpkin seeds, fresh young coconut, and pomegranite. Use spices like garlid, cloves, fennel, etc.
