I feel your pain, In Pain. As for me I didn't have anymore attacks for a couple of weeks after flush # 1, but I've began having some moderate discomfort of late. Flush # 2 this weekend.
As the others have said go as natural in your diet as you can. Low/no fat, unrefined Sea Salt , fresh veggies and fruits and juices.
For gb attacks many folks down a cup of water or juice with a Tbs of epsome salts. I haven't had to resort to that yet so I can't say for sure if it knocks down an attack or not, but the sources of the info are from here and trustworthy so...
As for the hereditary part, I'ld that a bad diet is the worst hereditary thing we can get.
