"I also wonder about the ethical and moral part of this goal because if I win it means someone has to lose [the bookie]"
----------------
You obviously don't understand the bookies role in providing you an out for the privilage of making the 10% "Vig" that he charges you.
All the bookie wants is all the action he can get. The more customers, the better. He wants volume on both sides of the bet. He tries to even out the action on both sides by moving the line around to entice people to bet on a certain side to even out the action. If he knows his business, he also has other outs of his own so that just before game time if he's heavy on one side he can lay off what ever it takes to have approximately even money on both sides of the action. His only goal is to make the 10 %. He cares not if you win.
There is more to bookies than that, but that is the basics, and there is absolutely no reason for you to get caught up in a moral, or ethical trip.
