Re: FDA Guidance info from Mercola
I appreciate Mercola for what he is and I think there is a lot of information on his site that's useful. I like his basic philosophies and appreciate that he reaches a LOT of people with his message (i.e., stay away from grains, YAY raw milk, vaccines are bad, flu is not to be completely feared, etc.) I am, however, glad to be part of the Curezone community, which is where I learn about what to do, per se -- I can't imagine Mercola ever suggesting OP, for instance. He's kind of ahead of the curve for most people, but I have a feeling that for many here, he is still pretty conventional -- it is all a matter of where you stand on the scale, for sure. A lot of people need those letters after his name to make it OK for them to do whatever it is they read about there and want to do -- and that's fine -- I have a huge appreciation for doctors who are willing to buck the trends in medical thinking and deal with facts. (Another "pop doc" that comes to mind is Christiane Northrup, whose books and shows have done a lot to help women be better mothers to their children, I am sure.)
I'll search on Mercola for basic research or information, but I'll usually check stuff out here in the archives or just asking on a forum. I do post on his new "Vital Votes" thingy from time to time and mention OP and liver flushing...although that thing is a pain to use, so it is a real labor of love for me to do it!
