Re: Depression and Hypoglycemia
As someone who has experience with antidepressant drugs I speak from experience. These drugs are extremely dangerous...and almost killed me. We were not designed to run on sugar, processed foods and chemicals. Antidepressants deplete and or interfere with the bodies ability to metabolize nutrients. They also throw your hormones out of wack...while in most cases cause you to gain enormous amounts of weight (another thing to be depressed about)increase the risk of
Breast Cancer 7 times that of the normal population, make you numb to the point of not feeling. So much so...that in my case, a hug, a hot bath, nothing felt good. They also (for lack of a better word (almost seaver your CNS)for example just prior ot coming off these drugs and for a great long time after my eyes would twitch back and forth rapidly, and I would feel an internal shaking (literally) of my CNS. Any little stess either mental or physical was much more difficult to bare.
If you would like to help your daughter, I have a few suggestions. First visit
http://www.paxilprogress.org for info and support.
Also visit
http://www.drugawareness.org
(order the CD's by Dr. Ann Tracy "Help I can't get off my Anti-depressant) and get as much info there and also hear the stories of damage these drugs have done to peoples lives.
Then encourage her to get off
Sugar and other stimulants and eat a clean diet. Hypoglycemia or
Sugar induced hypoglycemia is real and is very often the cause of
Depression as is nutrient diffiencies. Then take a SERIOUS look at Vibe from Eniva and also Fish oil.
A word of caution....when your daughter decides to come off these drugs do so very, very, very slowly and with the help of a doctor if at all possible. And remember when she comes off of them she will feel for sometime that the doctors were right and she needs these drugs. They appear to be designed to screw up the body and mind so bad that often symptoms linger for some time.
Best of luck to you,
Darlene
