Re: The body after death

don't look now, but i've been seeing/hearing bits and pieces of rumor that says 'da man has been inventing/revising death regulations. The focus seems to be on changing laws to turn down the screws on those who prefer to be cremated......kinda like the way they are trying to dream up ways to sock people not hooked up to town/muni water with some kind of "we get you anyway" pseudo water tax. The idea seems to be, most people pay a "water use" tax, but so as to make it so that everybody pays their "fair share" (sic), those not hooked up may soon be forced to pay a "didn't use" tax......the same mischief seems to be at work for those who desire to be cremated. Don't have all the details but it seems the jist of it is, they wanna force (tax) people who get cremated to pay all the same kinds of traditional $$$ - coroner bills, undertaker bills,, box bills, stone bills, bury bills, even though they don't actually incur these. It also sticks in my mind that they are trying to regulate/eliminate the spreading of ashes....something to do with some kind of half-baked notion of environmental concerns.
