iodine and acne?

what's the scoop? cause of Acne or cure for acne?

i read on here some say it actually has given them healthier softer skin...

i have read others say there skin is breaking out more since Iodine treatment...

and the "conventional" research says Iodine can cause Acne and to stay away from it.

wondering what people's theories are behind this? do you think it can cause more breakouts due to thyroid/hormone stimulation?
