What a crock of industry fed bull fecal matter!

The reason that alternative therapies (the good ones) offer hope is that they actually treat and corect the underlying causes of the symptoms that modern medicine tries to nuke, slash or poison away with the end result that few are cured and more die and die more swiftly.

Sure, there are ineffective and quack treatments out there, and much is the shame. Much worse would be the shame of putting them under the auspices of the folks who have had at least 50 years of false promises of cures being right around the corner when they haven't even gotten enough of a clue to realize what to treat yet!
