Ya know, a lot of essential oils at full strength smell awful. It takes dilution(I know this in theory, not practice) to bring out the scent. Isn't that weird? Although I would imagine that carrot seed oil would smell nothing like carrots anyway. I would imagine that it would smell "seedy"...

Gettin' a lil' seedy there, Molly. HAHA!
