What I, in my tunnel vision don't see is: where is the wife's child? Who is looking out for him?

This is the connundrum: everyone gets so busy with the troublemakers and the troubled ones, where is the innocent bystander? Who's wathching out for his well being?

I am sorry: let me explain myself. I think in pictures. So bear with me, and visualize. Do you see everyone literally stepping on the wife's child to go see what the ruckus is about? To care for the noisemaker and tend to the noise vortex?
