Re: Help! I keep getting bladder problems from Colloidal Silver.
Giz, first of all, I'm not sure I understood you. Did you mean that the
Colloidal Silver was what caused you bladder trouble - meaning that you'd get burning when urinating after taking
Colloidal Silver ?
BTW, thanks so much, since you validated my own experiences with Vitamin C. I haven't yet tried
Colloidal Silver (still researching it) but recently as part of my mercury-chelation supplements, I had been taking alot of Vitamin C - the magnesium-buffered "hypoallergenic" kind from Kirkmans - and I have been experiencing terrible urethral burning and itching.
Thing is, I don't exactly agree with your theory.
Despite that everyone says that "C" is "good" for infection, I think it much more likely that the herpes virus - and maybe other
parasites as well - become activated from the "C" as well as citrus and other acid-reacting foods such as excessive sugar, chocolate and other such stuff. With the result that there's swelling & soreness. I find that chocolate cake is OK because it has eggs, & the eggs' lysine or perhaps some other properties contained in eggs, counteract inflammatory effects.
In other words, I don't think it's *detox* as much as it's just *activation* of
parasites which cause the problems.
Y'know there's a woman named Beverley from the Interstitial Cystitis Network who has found that even though lemon is bad for IC, yet, when she'd eat meringue, she'd be able to tolerate the lemon, and she narrowed it down to the fact that the eggs contained within, was what made it tolerable.
I myself get tongue sores and urethral sores from citrus, kiwi, & pineapple, and other acids. And I get bad urethral sores from Vitamin C. So logic dictates, that as far as I'm concerned, they all have a common denominator which triggers my sores - ACID.
