Thank you thank you thank you.... luckily, though, i didn't have to actually face him, though i went there believing that i would be. I certainly would have faced him had the assistant DA not advised me to offer him a plea bargain of aggravated harassment II instead of that *plus* assault III. there were no witnesses to the assault, and it's all he said/she said, even though i have photos and doctor's reports. photos were taken a few days later, and the first doctor's appointment was not until three days later. five days later i filed a police report. can't really *prove* anything, and he would know what to tell his lawyer to ask me to intimidate me and make me nervous enough to say i can't recall and possibly give the jury reasonable doubt. it was a gamble, and i wanted to hold my cards instead of drawing another.

i should have called the police while i was hiding in the bathroom that night. i had my Cell Phone in my pocket, but was too afraid of ruining his relationship with the people who ran the storage facility where he kept all of his life's work. i thought that would be grounds for murder in his eyes.

wonder if the local newspaper prints results of these things... this did not happen in my hometown, luckily... i need to find an article.
