Re: "Ghost Parasites" & Sinuses
Hi apxr,
RE:
"
3 minutes. Quite a record time, I'd say.
'
It was only "one" easily detectable bacteria that they were looking for, at that time.
"
Or so they say. A lot of times one would find, in regard to Microscopy, that "easily detectable" is an 'utopian' idea at best, which is why I felt curious about those "3 minutes". Just a comment.
'
My memory isn't the best at the moment, apxr. It does look far too quick, when I stop and think about it. That may be what the guy said on the film ?, or he may have even said 30 minutes, but, even that would seem to quick. He implied that it was fast, and that the woman was in no danger of the particular parasite, they were worried about.
I do realise that it is a lot more complicated, than making a hamburger :)
These 6 or so people who worked in the lab that I use to clean, were the MOST dedicated, and also some the nicest, most caring people, that I have ever met.
I would think that the really good ones are hard to find, it being what it is.
I don't think for a second, that I could understand this level of Science, apxr. And be able to perform self diagnosis, with ANY certainty. Your cautions are correct, but I would still do it (for myself) just for intrests sake. I had a kids toy one for years, and it is a most fascinating field of Science.
But, believe that I understand just what you are saying, apxr. I do know enough about Microbiology to fully realise, that I know absolutely NOTHING about the subject, on the level necessary to be of much use. But, I would still like to take a look for myself. I keep an eye open for used ones, I'll get one, one day :)
