Re: Article on the Master Cleanse: Comments?
I read the article, but it did not impress me. There were a few good points, but generally it just went along with the allopathic mindset that the average person cannot do much about their health themselves. I know from personal experience that the
Master-Cleanse does help make one feel better and look better. While all improvements may not
be readily apparent, I do believe the
Master-Cleanse or similar periods of fasting can be of great benefit. Fasting, even a modified fast like the
Master-Cleanse can help the body begin to heal naturally by shutting down the digestive system and diverting that energy to cleansing, healing and rebuilding.
I do not believe in long fast for beginners, although many here have done that. I also have concerns about the heavy use of laxatives. But this is something each individual must decide for him or her self.
The Master Cleanse combines the cleansing action of fasting, deep cleansing foods-lemon and cayenne, and enough simple carbohydrates to keep the body fueled and avoid extreme detox.
The Master Cleanse is a good program for most adults who want to improve their health. I do agree with the article that pregnant, nursing, teen aged, and chronically ill people should not do
The Master Cleanse without supervision.
