Well I'll be sad to see you go....
'Cause I think you are a breath of fresh air around here!
I tend to agree with you about meat. I have just come back from Madrid,Spain. 4 days of eating raw steaks/fish/no vegetables/lots of bread (highly unusual for me) wine/ expresso coffees and I felt GREAT. I also started to do normal BMs and I drank quarter the amount of water I normally drink.
I come back to UK and eat "healthy" food and all my joints ache and I have a splitting headache.
Like you meat makes me feel really good. If there are
parasites in raw meat there are also enzymes. Years ago pregnant women were encouraged to eat raw steak for the zinc and enzymes. If we have a problem with not destroying the
parasites in raw food then there is something wrong with our digestion. Which of course there is!
I am determined to get to the bottom of this. I started out "blaming food". This is too simplistic. I went organic. I even grow organic. If you saw the fantastic vegetables I grew and ate this summer you would be impressed. Am I well? No.
Parasites/worms are indeed an issue. This site is GREAT to bring awareness of the problem. I am glad that with all this talk and reading I don't have a phobia any more about parasites.
We need to continue research. We need to find a good routine maintenance. We need to keep an open mind - the solution may be herbs but it may be pharmaceutical.
Your posts are great because you speak with an honest, direct voice. Not enough people really describe their personal experience.
Stick around or drop in from time to time - we need you!
