Re: Freaking out - *Rendevous*

Dear Ev,

Actually it took me a while to get pass the christmas attack as you call it.
I would feel sad when I heard christmas carols in the stores, you know the old ones, which we were raised with. I am sad that its gone so commerical, now you really see the ads and the flyers which come in the mail! But everything has gone commercial. I remember when "chex Mix" was when my mom would make it in the kitchen from scratch. Now its ready made, available all year long. I remember her peanut brittle, homemade as well. For my kids they go to a charter school and its more private and not so holiday oriented.

You know what I like is when family gets together. Now we try to do things as a family more often. With our society so far away from eachother I can see why Holidays are so treasured. Its memories, and the need for family unity. I feel I have been able to accomplish this without the holidays, but with true love, and calling my family often and sending gifts throughout the year to them, and also visiting them etc. ( i mean sometimes, people only get together in the name of tradition and it has nothing to do with love but only as show, but these types of people are not the reason I dont celebrate certain holidays )

Thanks for asking

Take care~
