Long worms in my throat??
I am not sure how I am going to describe this.
I feel something sliding DOWN into my throat and then it kind of hangs there. I am not able to swallow it or wash it down with water.
I have to cough it out of my throat onto my tongue and then spit it out. It looks like a chunk of mucus. After I cough out one, I can feel another slide down.
Today I spit them into a sink full of water.
About an hour later I came back and they were all still there floating around.
I can take a straw and move the glob/chunk and it will stretch out to a straight line. When I leave it alone it goes back into a glob.
It looks like there are brownish eggs in parts of it and a brownish vein running down the middle. They are each about 6-8
inches long, more flat than round but very thin, white in color but almost transparent.
There is also a round circle floating on the water about 1
cm across. It looks like a film on top of the water. It isn't very thick but it casts a shadow on the bottom of the sink. There are brownish specks in it.
I don't have a cold or sinus drainage and I can't blow these things out of my nose into a kleenex.
Do you think it is mucus or worms living up behind my nose?
This happens in the middle of the night while I am sleeping. The tickling in my throat wakes me up. It also happens after I have something sweet like juice, and especially when I eat chocolate. It is almost like something coming down to eat.
My nostrils are a different story. I feel stuffed up but nothing comes out when I blow my nose. When I use a Q-tip soaked in hydrogen peroxide to swab my nostrils, I get a couple of little green things, kind of hard and dry. Do you think this is muscus or green worms? The peroxide seems to draw them out from somewhere because after cleaning out both nostrils I can do it again in 5 minutes and there are quite a few more.
What do you think it is?
Thanks,
Jan
