I just wanted to clarify lest anyone get the wrong idea :).
( I would never deny my children medical attention if they needed it)
The time(he was six) that my son's lips turned blue from croup, we were on the way to the hospital. That was the time that I told myself if he had another attack, we were going to the hospital. I was afraid that he maybe had asthma and I wasn't treating it right.
They took a saliva test and told me that it was not asthma. They said croup can not turn into asthma. (Good to know) They just put a mask on him and had him breathe some medicine (which he would not do without much coaxing). It did not seem to help any more than the steamy bath at home.
But, hopefully, I have found a solution in essential oils.
