Re: Leaving a dog home alone - advice please

Awwww...I hate leaving all my animals home! I usually miss them when I'm gone. We've never left our older dog alone for more than 6-8 hours if we can help it because she has bladder issues and just can't hold it that long. I have never understood people who leave their dogs alone for 12-16 hours or more with no bathroom breaks or human interaction!
My husband and I have such opposite schedules now that they are not left home alone for more than 2-3 hours 3 days a week. Weather permitting, we always try to take our dogs with us too. Thanksgiving is Sheeba's favorite holiday, and I swear she knows it's coming up. It involves a 2 hour car ride, having all of her favorite people under one roof, and TURKEY! After that is her 11th birtday, which we will also celebrate in a grand way!
