I hope you all are right.

I just don't see Dems doing the important stuff.

If the Dems work to repeal the various Constitution-gutting Acts including the PATRIOT Acts and the Military Commissions Act, then I will officially recognize Democrats as "having done something good for America". Those Acts are the vilest expression of Neo-Con control and must be purged. Leaving those laws on the books will prove the Democratic Party is just as owned as the Republican Party is.

If the Dems end the Iraq war, I will officially recognize Democrats as "having done something good for the world". This is probably more important than repealing the those acts, just for the sake of decency, but if the Dems stop here, they're true colors will be exposed.

If they manage to do both, I'll be surprised and elated, and all you Democrats can gloat and tell me you told me so.

I would gladly be wrong about the Democrats here.
