I know what you want, John. You want someone to apologize that some of the people in the world that are responsible for "BAD" (evil/wrong) are Christians, but I am not a spokesman for Christianity and no one at all can assume that role.
No, this is what you think I want. What I want is for Christians to stop trying to force their values on me.
I don't want apologies. I want simple courtesy. I respect the fact that you have the right to believe whatever you want (no matter how much I disagree with it) and to practice that belief however you want -- so long as it does not conflict with another's right to make (or not) those choices for himself. I don't care what you think about women, or blacks, or gays, or whatever other group it is you choose to hate or "not-"hate. I don't care about what moral choices you make for yourself. I am infinitely interested, however, in your efforts to try to force your choices on me. Such actions are the antithesis of freedom, and they're outrageous -- especially in a free society.
