Sorry to hear you have been having pains in the hips. Here is how to make the salt solution. They (the authors) recommend using Himalayan rock salt crystals as they say it is the best salt. All you have to do is to put some of the crystals (they are chunks not fiddly little bits) in a jar or any container you wish to use, but preferably glass, and then cover them generously with water. 24 hours later you will have the 26% solution which is called solay. As you use the solay up add more water until the crystals have completely dissolved. When the crystals have gone stick in some more. They last a long time. Obviously you will have to wait 24 hours each time you add water. What I do is use nearly all of it and just put a little of what is left in a jam jar for use during the 24 hours. The book says that this solution is completely sterile so don't worry about adding water. You don't ever have to clean out your container.
I can't say for definate that this is what has helped my hips, but I have started my husband on the teaspoon in a glass of water as he has a knee which can really hurt him sometimes. So maybe in three months the pair of you will be running around like spring chickens! Good luck.
