Re: What colon cleanse do I need?
Dear Hopinso,
Thank you for the clarification of kinds of cleanses and their uses. I hadn't seen this analysis before, and it is such basic information!
I am trying to unravel another problem -
//www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=765706#i
I think this is where I fit in the info you give...
"...weak peristalsis? If you feel you are just not able to push out your stool, or your transit time is very slow, then a cleanse that uses herbal stimulant laxatives might be needed. This includes the Schulze Intestinal Formula #1, Fen-L-B, and Lower Bowel Balance and many other formulas that use ingredients like Senna, Cascara Sagrada and Turkey Rhubarb. Often these formulas also contain herbs that lubricate and soothe like Slippery Elm and Marshmallow Root."
Interestingly, the
Liver Flush herbal tea I took contains Marshmallow Root. The 'perfect' BM I had during the first few days of the flush could easily be attributed to that herb. (Dandelion Root; Oregon Grape Root; Marshmallow Root; Nettles; and Peppermint.)
Overall, I am thinking that my life-long 'slowness' and firm movements may be due to compression that is too efficient, in the descending colon.
(This may be from a personality trait...a tendency to be 'up-tight' and/or somewhat timid at times. Richard Anderson speaks of a connection between bowel problems and emotions.
//www.curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=64410#i I wonder if some attitudes/feelings don't actually CAUSE bowel difficulties.)
There may also be
parasites involved, so I am headed for a Humaworm cleanse, immediately. (I've been waffling on this, knowing that regular BM's are important before beginning. Today's results have been better...I took one Cascara cap before breakfast.)
The bile blockage may be breaking up and moving, simply by taking small amounts of good herbs and foods, as I felt inclined.
Though I am mainly a life-long vegetarian, I eat some kind of protein frequently, along with lots of veggies.
I am developing a theory/plan of eating smaller amounts, more frequently, upping the fiber content with, say, grated carrot and cabbage slaw with olive oil and lemon juice or lime, or ACV dressing.
Maybe people's systems are stronger than they think, and just need a little tweaking here and there.
Fine-tuning may be better than a big blast, in some cases. I hope so!
Any ideas?
