My biggest issue is getting through the initial withdrawal/detox stage. When I stop eating sugar, I get severely depressed and physically feel terrible. I know it's just from the detox, but the symptoms are so severe (especially the depression) that I haven't succeeded in the past. It's not like there's a safe inpatient hospital setting where you can't hurt yourself while you're going through Sugar detox (as opposed to any street drug or alcohol), so I'm not sure what people who have a history of severe Depression and even suicide attempts can do to safely remove Sugar from their lives... any thoughts?
