I've had similar dreams and, let me tell you, they are NOT pleasant. For me, I always felt that I had them when I had injested the WRONG thing....too many cigarettes, too much alcohol, too much meat, too many sweets, too many fats...

And...possibly, ingesting stuff that isn't good for you might symbolize a deeper uncomfortableness with one's present situation...and the broken glass in one's mouth shows that what one is ingesting through the mouth and what one is expressing are tied. (because perhaps he's not expressing something that needs to be expressed - and the stuff he's ingesting helps to make a barrier to the true expression...?)

That was a bit of a convoluted response, sorry!

I hope there's something in it for your husband....and perhaps someone else has some ideas...!
